Founded in 1978, Home Point is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preventing homelessness and stabilizing individuals and families at risk. We focus on two core areas: Housing Assistance and Homelessness Prevention Services - delivering both immediate relief and long-term solutions.
Housing Assistance
As a housing solution following stays in domestic violence or homeless shelters, we offer safe, stable housing for Veterans, single and dual parent families, and individuals through scattered-site apartments. Our supportive housing programs help move people from crisis to stability, with personalized coaching. Each participant receives individualized coaching and support services to address the root causes of homelessness and build long-term self-sufficiency. Households must be referred through the Coordinated Assessment System of the Continuum of Care.
Homelessness Prevention
To help at-risk individuals and families avoid housing loss, we offer short-term financial aid for rent, mortgage, and utilities. We also host free legal clinics, recognized by the State Bar of Texas, offering expert advice on tenant rights and responsibilities - empowering participants to remain securely housed and informed.
Home Point's Mission
To prevent homelessness, respond to the immediate needs of those facing crisis, and sustain their stability in safe, affordable, and permanent housing while empowering them to solve their housing problems in the future.
Home Point's Vision
To create a world where the homeless and nearly homeless are not just housed but also embraced by a network of care and support that transcends the physical walls of shelter, firmly rooted in the belief that restoring dignity to those facing their darkest hours uplifts the entire community.
Your investment in Home Point fuels proven, compassionate solutions that break the cycle of homelessness. Together, we can create lasting change - one household at a time.
